The Village of Spring Valley Building Department has various functions all relating to land use. The Building Department oversees and ensures property owner compliance relative to zoning and use law, property maintenance ordinances, building codes, and fire codes.Our Building Department will assist the civilian and corporate property owner or developer with Planning board and Zoning board approvals, building and other required permits necessary for construction, certificates of occupancy and certificates of compliance for commercial entities. The Building Department staff has decades of experience in building, planning, and zoning.

The Village of Spring Valley Building Department requires Sign Installers and Plumbers to possess a license issued and specific to the Village of Spring Valley in order to do any work within the Village.
