Spring Valley holds CDRC meetings every 2nd and 4th Tuesday every month (unless otherwise specified). CDRC is open to the public to view but not open to the public to participate as this is not an official land use board meeting. The CDRC meetings are held on ZOOM.

I was very pleased with the fact that Raymond Canario was found not guilty on all charges in Rockland County Supreme Court today, although I never had a doubt that justice would prevail. While my heart aches for the families of Jared Lloyd and Oliver Hueston, it was obvious that the Rockland County District Attorney’s office pursued ill-advised prosecutions against Village of Spring Valley employees that were not in accordance with the law. The District Attorney clearly caved to political pressure in a misguided attempt to degrade the Village in the eyes of the public. As a result, two public servants’ reputations will be forever sullied due to an attempt to incorrectly link them to the tragic events of March 23, 2021, one of whom actively fought the fire at Evergreen Court alongside his fallen brother. I can only hope that the District Attorney’s office will be as hasty in holding a press conference discussing their failed attempts to destroy Ray Canario’s and Wayne Ballard’s lives now that the trial is over, as they were when they announced these bogus charges on June 29, 2021.
